The B-Division police have registered a cheating case against the owner of a Dubai-based investment platform for allegedly duping two Amritsar residents and their relatives of around Rs 24-25 lakh on the pretext of lucrative investment returns.

TThe police said complainants Tanvir Singh and Karmbir Singh, both residents of Ganda Singh Colony located on Tarn Taran Road, alleged that they, along with their family members and friends, were persuaded to invest money in Bot Bro Company, a Dubai-based investment platform.

They claimed that the accused allegedly cheated them of around Rs 24-25 lakh as part of a well-planned conspiracy. An FIR under Section 318(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) was registered following an inquiry conducted on a complaint submitted to the Amritsar Police Commissionerate.
