After five seasons in Philadelphia, Sirianni wanted to avoid repeating the same motivational tropes. He logged into ChatGPT to search for unique anecdotes.
He asked the AI, "Give me a great relentless effort true sports story."
The chatbot pointed him toward Anthony Robles, an Arizona State wrestler born with one leg who went on to win an NCAA Division I national championship in 2011. Sirianni then incorporated Robles' story into a team speech.
The Philadelphia Eagles last won Super Bowl LIX under Nick Sirianni on Feb. 9, 2025. They defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
Under Sirianni, the Eagles also made it to Super Bowl LVII on Feb. 12, 2023, but lost to the Chiefs 38-35.
Sirianni was hired as the head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles on Jan. 21, 2021. He came to Philadelphia after serving as the offensive coordinator for the Indianapolis Colts from 2018 to 2020.
During an interview with Zach Berman for The Athletic, which was published on Monday, Nick Sirianni said that he knows that winning in Philadelphia comes with enormous expectations.
While some teams would celebrate an NFC East title and a playoff berth, Sirianni said the standard in Philadelphia is much higher.
The coach admitted there are times when the pressure feels unfair, but he believes those expectations ultimately make the team better.
