Arch-rivals Mohun Bagan Super Giant and East Bengal were locked in a 0-0 draw at half-time during their Durand Cup 2026 Group A fixture in Kolkata on Saturday.

Neither team could create a clear-cut chance in a cagey first half.

Since this is a group-stage match, there will be no additional time if the teams cannot find a winning goal inside the stipulated duration of 90 minutes.

Both teams will take one point from the game and head to their next fixture. A draw will significantly hamper their chances since only the group winner is assured a spot in the knockouts. Two best second-placed teams will complete the knockout lineup.

The penalty shootouts only start from the knockout rounds, which begin with quarterfinals.
