The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Wednesday extended the schedule for special intensive revision (SIR) in Punjab and Delhi by 11 and 12 days, respectively.

    As per the revised schedule, the final voters list of Punjab will come out now on October 12. According to the old schedule, it was originally supposed to release on October 1.

    Similarly, the SIR schedule for Delhi too has been changed, and now it's final list of voters will come out on October 19, 12 days after the originally scheduled date of October 7.

    The house-to-house evaluation of voters by BLOs will be done till August 3 in Punjab. Earlier it was to be wrapped up by July 24. The verification process had begun there on June 25.

    The draft list for Punjab is to be published on August 13. Earlier it was to be released on July 31.

    The period for filing claims and objections as per revised schedule in Punjab is from August 13 till September 12, 2026. Earlier it was to be done between July 31 and August 30.

    The period for disposal of claims and objections is from August 13 till October 8 in the border state.

    In Delhi, the house-to-house evaluation of voters has been extended till August 8. Earlier it was to be wrapped up by July 29. The evaluation work in the national capital had begun on June 30.

    The draft list of voters in Delhi will now be released on August 17, while earlier it was to release on August 5.

    The period for filing claims and objections in Delhi as per the fresh schedule is from August 17 till September 16, while the window for disposing off claims and objections is from August 17 till October 15.
