Vaibhav Sooryanshi’s search for his first big score on the international stage continued after he was dismissed for 15 in the fourth T20I against England at Bristol on Thursday.
The 15-year-old got off to a quick start, hitting a four and a six off Josh Tongue in the second over.
But Sooryavanshi, as has been the case in the series so far, was once again troubled by his Rajasthan Royals’ teammate Jofra Archer’s pace.
The Englishman deployed the short ball to the teenager and cramped him for room with the tight line.
The strategy paid off in the third over, when Sooryavanshi, attempting to go over mid off, mistimed his shot and picked out Sam Curran to bring an end to his stay at the crease.
Before today’s game, Sooryavanshi had registered scores of 14 and 13 in the two matcghes that he had played.
