One of AEW's top stars and champions has taken aim at Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay ahead of this week's edition of Wednesday Night Dynamite. The talent in question, Maxwell Jacob Friedman, will be defending his World Title in a high-stakes bout on the show.

Thanks to the betrayal of Andrade El Idolo, MJF and his hired allies from the Don Callis Family were defeated by Mark Briscoe and his team in their Steel Cage match at Forbidden Door 2026. While this win did earn The Sussex County Chicken a shot at the AEW World Title on the following episode of Dynamite, he was unfortunately unable to dethrone Big Hebrew. Friedman's post-match brutalization of Briscoe was thankfully interrupted by Kenny Omega, who called the self-proclaimed "generational talent" out to another championship bout.

The Wolf of Wrestling agreed to face The Cleaner the following week on Dynamite: Beach Break, but only if he accepted his stipulation, barring Kenny from ever challenging for the World Title again if he loses. Despite running the risk of being locked of the AEW World Championship picture like Hangman Page before him, and with the support of The Young Bucks and Will Ospreay, Omega eventually accepted Friedman's conditions, making their title match official.

Notably, many fans are speculating that The Best Bout Machine will dethrone The Salt of The Earth this Wednesday and proceed to take the World Title to All In: London to defend it against Ospreay. MJF has maintained, however, that it will be his privilege to defend the "Triple B" against The Aerial Assassin in Wembley Stadium, and during his recent interview with Justin Barrasso, Friedman lashed out at both Ospreay and Omega, insisting that he will be the one to have the last laugh at AEW All In 2026.

At a key juncture during MJF's AEW World Title defense against Kenny Omega at Dynasty 2026 this past April, the challenger finally succeeded at drilling the champion with his much-reputed finisher, the One Winged Angel. Thankfully for Friedman, there was no referee to count the pinfall for Omega, giving Max enough time to recover and kick out of the move when an official eventually arrived. The Devil ultimately managed to retain his strap against The God of Professional Wrestling, thanks once again to his Dynamite Diamond Ring.

Although Omega has all the incentive in the world to not lose to Friedman this week on Dynamite: Beach Break, MJF appears confident about his odds against his contender, as he took to X/Twitter some time ago to remind fans of the fact that he has survived the One Winged Angel before.

It remains to be seen whether MJF will triumph over Kenny Omega for the third time on Wednesday.
