The Nilgiris district administration said the first phase of the population Census 2027 will be carried out from August 1 to 30 in the district.
The district administration said a self-enumeration process has been launched that enables the public to register their household details through an official web portal - https://se.census.gov.in
“In The Nilgiris district, the first phase of Census work, comprising House Listing and Housing Census, will be carried out for 30 days from August 1 to 30 . Prior to this, the self-enumeration process will be conducted from July 17 to 31,” a press release from the district administration stated, urging the public to use the official website to fill in the required details for a self-enumeration ID.
The self enumeration ID can be shared with the census enumerator during their visit to the respective household. Enumerators and supervisors appointed for this work will visit every household carrying government-issued identity cards to collect the required information.
The residents of the district should provide complete and accurate information to census officials visiting their homes, the administration said. Members of the public can also contact the Revenue Divisional Officers concerned, tahsildars and local body officials for doubts regarding the Census.
