The Sirmaur district administration has notified four more families as proposed to be rendered homeless under the second phase of Shri Renukaji Dam Project, taking forward the rehabilitation process for the affected households. Deputy Commissioner Priyanka Verma issued the notification based on lists received from the general manager of the project. In the first phase, 95 families were identified and notified as homeless under the project’s rehabilitation and resettlement policy. With the latest notification, four more families have been included in the second phase.

Two families from Lana Bhalta panchayat (revenue villages Bogli Byalag and Lana Machher), one family from Sangrah panchayat (revenue village Lagnu), and one family from Jamu Koti panchayat (revenue village Jamu) have been proposed for inclusion in the list of homeless families.

The Deputy Commissioner said that the detailed lists would be available for public scrutiny from July 1 to 15 on the district administration’s official website — www.hpsirmaur.nic.in — and at the patwar circles of Khala Kyar, Sangrah and Lana Machher.

People, whose land or houses have been acquired for the project but their names have either been omitted from the list or included incorrectly, have been invited to submit written claims or objections by July 15.

Representations can be submitted personally or through registered post at the project office at Dadahu, the Tehsildar’s office at Dadahu, the project office at Renukaji (Sangrah), the Naib Tehsildar’s office at Narg, or the Land Settlement Circle office at Vasni. The administration has clarified that the claims or objections received after the deadline will not be entertained.
