Bukayo Saka was a man possessed for England as they claimed a 6-4 win over France in the FIFA World Cup. The Arsenal man scored a hat-trick to secure victory for the Three Lions in the third-place playoff match in Miami.

With both sides reeling from their respective semi-final disappointments, the third-place match was expected to be a dour affair between two uninterested sides. England made sure that it was quite the opposite, as they flew out of the blocks in sensational fashion to set up a spectacle.

Three Lions' captain for the day, Declan Rice, led by example in this encounter in Miami. He scored and assisted in the first half, and recorded the most touches of any player on either team. He created two chances and had 12 defensive contributions, more than any other player on either team. He won seven ground duels and put in three accurate crosses.

Used sparingly by Thomas Tuchel throughout the FIFA World Cup, Bukayo Saka took his opportunity of a start to send a reminder of his quality.
