Gladys Anand Kumar Hubballi, a 39-year-old resident of Basel Mission Compound in Betgeri of Gadag district, died in a road accident in Riyadh of Saudi Arabia on Tuesday last.

She was heading to attend to her duties in a hospital when she was run over by an unidentified vehicle, family sources told the Gadag Police.

Some social activists of Indian origin are working to coordinate with various government agencies to bring the body back home.

The family is in touch with the police and also Riyadh-based activists Hamid Padubidri, Shareef Karkala, Santosh Shetty, Shihab Kottukad and others, the sources said.

The nurse moved to Saudi Arabia three years ago. Her husband Anand Kumar works in a private workshop. The couple have three children, the police said.
