Team India head coach Gautam Gambhir shared a heartfelt post on social media to celebrate his wife Natasha Jain's birthday on Sunday, July 26. The couple has been married since October 28, 2011, and are parents to two daughters, Aazeen and Anaiza.

As Natasha turned 42, Gambhir shared a picture with her on Instagram along with a caption that read:

Meanwhile, the Men in Blue are currently involved in a three-match T20I series against Zimbabwe. However, Gambhir is not part of the tour as he has been given a break, with National Cricket Academy (NCA), now known as the BCCI Centre of Excellence (COE), head VVS Laxman stepping in as the head coach.

Gambhir's recent stint with the Indian team has not produced the desired results, with the Men in Blue suffering defeats in their last three series. India were whitewashed 2-0 in the away T20I series against Ireland, followed by a 4-1 defeat against England in a five-match T20I series and a 2-1 loss in the ODI series, all on foreign soil.

Gautam Gambhir will next be in focus when India travel to Sri Lanka for a two-match Test series. The opening Test will be played in Galle (August 15-19), followed by the second and final match in Colombo (August 23-27).

The last time India toured Sri Lanka for a Test series was in 2017, when they secured a 3-0 clean sweep in the three-match contest under the leadership of Virat Kohli. Overall, the two sides have faced each other in 46 Tests, with India winning 22 matches, Sri Lanka seven, while 17 games have ended in draws.

Meanwhile, the series will provide Gautam Gambhir with an opportunity to improve his Test record as India's head coach. Under his leadership, the team has won just six of their 18 Tests, losing 10 and drawing the remaining two.
