AgenciesSanta Monica Studio has confirmed that God of War Laufey will launch for the PlayStation 5 (PS5) on February 16, 2027. The studio also announced that the next mainline Kratos-led God of War game will directly continue the story established in Laufey.

Santa Monica Studio Head of Creative Cory Barlog said the game expands the franchise by exploring new characters while continuing the overarching narrative.
