Kolkata: If you are planning to buy gold and/or silver today, you can take heart. The price of both precious metals has recorded a small decline in the domestic market. In the retail market, the price of 10 grams of gold has reached Rs 1,41,950 and the price of 1 kg of silver has reached Rs 2,20,140. At the same time, there is a soft trend on MCX, where gold for August 5 delivery is trading at Rs 1,41,201 and silver for September 4 delivery is trading at Rs 2,19,350. Check the city wise price of the yellow metal and white metal before buying.
A small decline has been recorded in the prices of gold and silver in the retail market today. The price of 10 grams of gold has reached Rs 1,41,950, which is Rs 530 (0.37%) less than the last session’s price. On the other hand, the price of 1 kg of silver stood at Rs 2,20,140, marked a decline of Rs 980 or 0.44%. This can bring a small degree of relief for customers today.
There was also a decline in the prices of gold and silver today on MCS. Gold for delivery on August 5, 2026 is trading at Rs 1,41,201, registering a dip of 0.46%. Silver for delivery on September 4, 2026 is trading at Rs 2,19,350 registering a dip of about 0.58%.
