Taking strict action against land mafias, drug traffickers and habitual offenders, the Gurugram police with the assistance of the district administration, demolished illegal construction at five different places in village Dhankot on Tuesday.
During this action, criminals Narender alias Pavva and Sunny alias Dogra — both residents of village Dhanwapur, district Gurugram — were identified. Pavva has a total of 12 criminal cases registered against him involving serious offences such as attempt to murder, assault, dacoity, violations under the Arms Act and other grave criminal activities. Similarly, accused Dogra has 13 criminal cases registered against him for attempt to murder, assault, dacoity, offences under the Arms Act and other serious criminal activities.
Investigation further revealed that the accused had illegally constructed a borewell and a residential structure near the Dhankot canal. After completion of the necessary administrative procedures, the illegal construction was demolished.
The operation was carried out by the Crime Branch Palam Vihar, Gurugram, in coordination with the district administration. The illegal structure removed on July 6, 2025, under strict supervision of Gurugram Police and law and order was maintained throughout the operation.
"Gurugram Police remains fully committed to protecting public land, maintaining law and order and dismantling the illegal economic networks of criminals. Police have made it clear that such intelligence-based strict campaigns against properties acquired through criminal activities and illegal encroachments will continue in the future to make Gurugram crime-free and secure,” said the spokesperson of Gurugram police.
