Harikrishnan S., director (operations), Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL), was on Wednesday appointed chairman of Green Maritime Propulsion Pvt. Ltd., a joint venture of the CSL and HBL Engineering Limited (HBL).

Dr. Harikrishnan was unanimously appointed chairman at the company’s first board meeting, following its incorporation on June 11, 2026.

The joint venture has been established with the objective of developing electric mobility technology and energy storage solutions in the maritime space, a CSL spokesperson said in a statement.
