Former Arsenal defender Nacho Monreal has urged the club to do everything within its capacity to sign FIFA World Cup star Morgan Rogers. The Gunners have been linked with the England international, who is in the USA with the national team.

Monreal spoke to BetBrothers, pointing out that Rogers is a signing that should be prioritized this summer because of his age and quality. The Spaniard branded the Aston Villa man as 'special' and named him as one of the best players in the league at present.

Morgan Rogers enjoyed a fine season under Unai Emery at Aston Villa, winning the UEFA Europa League with the club. His form at club level earned him a place in England's FIFA World Cup squad under Thomas Tuchel ahead of Chelsea's Cole Palmer.

Rogers has played in all but one of the Three Lions' games so far at the FIFA World Cup, providing an assist in the semi-final defeat to Argentina. He has been strongly linked with a move to the Emirates, with Arsenal looking to add more quality to their squad this summer.
