Carson Hocevar has again found himself at the center of fan debate after his comments about Tanner Gray during Friday's NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series action at North Wilkesboro Speedway.

Hocevar entered the weekend as one of four Cup Series stars competing in Saturday's FaithFest 250. He qualified second, just 0.016 seconds behind pole winner Layne Riggs. Gray, who started deeper in the field, looked to collect valuable championship points in his full-time Truck Series campaign.

During the practice session for the NASCAR Truck Series race, Hocevar made contact with the back of Gray's Toyota and immediately voiced his frustration over the radio. The Spire Motorsports driver said:

Fans were split between backing Hocevar's criticism and calling out his own driving.

Others had little sympathy for Carson Hocevar and felt his aggressive style made the comments ring hollow.

Meanwhile, NASCAR Cup drivers Christopher Bell, Corey Heim, Chase Elliott, and Shane van Gisbergen will join Hocevar in Saturday's FaithFest 250 at North Wilkesboro. The race starts at 12:30 ET.

During a press conference on Friday. Carson Hocevar shared what he liked about the 0.625-mi oval ahead of his double-duty weekend in the Cup and Craftsman Truck Series. The 23-year-old described described North Wilkesboro Speedway as a track that offers several racing grooves.

Hocevar is eighth in the NASCAR Cup Series standings ahead of Sunday's Window World 450 at 7 p.m. ET.
