The BJP on Wednesday constituted a chargesheet committee to highlight the alleged acts of omission and commission of the Congress government during the last three and a half years.

Himachal Pradesh BJP president Rajeev Bindal said the committee had been formed to prepare a comprehensive document detailing the alleged failures, corruption, anti-people decisions and unfulfilled promises of the Congress government.

The chargesheet committee comprises Rajeev Bindal, Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur, MPs Anurag Thakur, Sikander Kumar and Harsh Mahajan, MLAs Satpal Singh Satti, Randhir Sharma, Bikram Thakur, Sudhir Sharma, Balbir Verma and Trilok Jamwal, state general secretary Payal Vaidya and former MLA Rajendra Rana.

The committee will prepare a report highlighting the alleged failures and shortcomings of the Congress government and present it before the people, Bindal said.

The BJP also constituted a state-level Mass Agitation Committee to intensify protests and campaigns against what it termed the anti-people policies of the Congress regime.

“The committee will expose the anti-people policies, unfulfilled promises, corruption and administrative failures of the Congress government and launch a statewide public movement against it,” Bindal said.

The Mass Agitation Committee comprises Bindal, Jai Ram Thakur, Shimla MP Suresh Kashyap, MPs Rajeev Bhardwaj and Kangana Ranaut, MLAs Vipin Singh Parmar, Pawan Kajal, Vinod Kumar and Rakesh Jamwal, state vice-president Bihari Lal Sharma, former MLAs Govind Thakur, Rajeev Saizal and D S Thakur, and state vice-president Rashmi Dhar Sood.
