Three persons were injured when a cement-laden truck rammed into three other trucks parked near the apple mandi at Parwanoo in Solan district on Wednesday afternoon. The cement-laden truck, which was on its way to a godown to unload the consignment, went out of control and collided with three parked trucks, injuring the drivers of two of them.

The driver of the cement-laden truck sustained serious injuries.

One of the trucks was badly damaged with its body being ripped apart due to the collision with the heavily loaded truck. Two other trucks also suffered huge damage. The onlookers rushed to rescue the drivers of the trucks. All injured were admitted to the ESIC Hospital, Parwanoo.

A police team reached the spot. “An FIR has been registered against the driver of the cement-laden truck bearing a Haryana registration number for rash and negligent driving. The cause of the accident will be ascertained after a mechanical inspection of the cement-laden truck,” said Anil Sharma, DSP, Parwanoo.
