Panthalus is the key to entering the World Tree in the Palworld 1.0 update, but you first need to prove your strength to progress the main story quest. And to do so, defeating this boss is a must. With a health bar of over 350,000 HP, it will be a challenging fight. However, succeeding will reward you with your own pet Panthalus.

Before you can fight this behemoth, you need to reach the Deserted Islet around (-172,33). There, you’ll find a wanderer who’ll ask you to gather four ancient bones. Once you do, it’s time to face the boss.

Before you fight Panthalus, it’s a good idea to know what type of attacks it uses and how to avoid them. Here are all the skills that Panthalus can use during the fight:

After lowering its health to around half, Panthalus will enter the second phase, where it’ll start shining. During this phase, it’ll frequently use Aqua Tornado and Maelstrom. It’s also the phase when it’ll start creating the Tsunami in the arena.

Since Panthalus is a Water-type Pal, Electricity is the most effective counter. However, it likes to move around and attack from a distance, which can make things difficult. Here’s the setup you can use to deal Electric damage to the boss.

Note that the damage numbers are for maxed-out Pals, but even at level 2, they will help you take down Panthalus. During the fight, try to hit the crown on its head to get the weak spot damage bonus.
