The Cyborg V2 fighting style is one of the strongest upgrades available in Haze Seas for players who prefer ranged combat. Unlike many V2 upgrades, unlocking Cyborg V2 requires you to progress all the way to Sea 3, master the base fighting style, and collect rare awakening materials before you can evolve it.
If you're planning to use Cyborg as your primary fighting style, here's everything you need to know.
Before you can unlock Cyborg V2, you'll first need the base Cyborg fighting style. It is one of the game's most expensive V1 purchasable fighting styles and focuses on ranged attacks instead of traditional close-range melee combat. Its moveset features energy beams, projectile attacks, and powerful mechanical strikes that make it effective against both bosses and NPCs. To unlock it:
Your Cyborg fighting style must reach 300 Mastery before you can evolve it into V2. The fastest ways to earn Mastery include:
Reaching 300 Mastery is mandatory before the V2 upgrade becomes available.
Sea 3 is required because the NPC responsible for upgrading Cyborg is located there. To unlock Sea 3:
The Gatekeeper teleports you to a special arena where you'll battle the Red Emperor. The Red Emperor has approximately 378,908 HP and uses powerful close-range attacks that deal heavy damage. Staying mobile and fighting from a distance is highly recommended.
Fortunately, you don't need to defeat him completely. Once his HP drops to roughly 189,000, a cutscene automatically begins. The Red Emperor acknowledges your strength and promises to face you again at full power in the future. After the cutscene finishes:
Sea 3 will now be permanently unlocked.
Once you've unlocked Sea 3 and reached 300 Mastery with Cyborg, you're ready to evolve it. Travel to the Land of the Gods, the starting island of Sea 3. There you'll find the Sage of Combat NPC, who upgrades several advanced fighting styles. To awaken Cyborg V2, you'll need:
After meeting all three requirements, speak with the Sage of Combat and pay the upgrade cost to permanently unlock Cyborg V2.
To awaken the Cyborg fighting style into Cyborg V2, you'll need to collect two Saturn Rings. These are dropped by the Saturn Boss, which appears during a special world event at Egg Island.
The event takes place every 1 hour and 15 minutes. When the timer reaches zero, a Pirate Raid begins at Egg Island. During the raid, you'll need to defeat three waves of enemies to complete the event. Once all three waves have been cleared, the following message appears on your screen:
This indicates that the Saturn Boss has spawned at the top of Egg Island. After defeating the boss, you're guaranteed to receive one Saturn Ring, as it has a 100% drop rate. Since Cyborg V2 requires two Saturn Rings, you'll need to complete the event and defeat the Saturn Boss twice before returning to the Sage of Combat NPC to finish the awakening process.
Reach 300 Cyborg Mastery, unlock Sea 3, collect 2 Saturn Rings, and pay 50,000,000 Beli to the Sage of Combat NPC.
The Cyborg Trainer is located on the Starter Island in Sea 1, where you can purchase the fighting style for 800,000 Beli.
The Sage of Combat is located in the Land of the Gods, the starting island of Sea 3.
