The Anime Expeditions Update 0.5 saw the introduction of four pieces of Unit-type Equipment, each of which was designed to massively boost the unit it was tied to. The Dark Scepter is one such Unit-type Equipment, created to boost Dark Mage (Sovereign)’s battle prowess. It is available from the Villain Invasion event, and it targets two of Dark Mage’s passives, massively boosting their effectiveness.

Here’s everything you need to know about the Dark Scepter in Anime Expeditions.

Dark Scepter is available as a Unit-type Equipment from the Crow Hideout, one of the stages in the Villain Invasion event. From the Crow Hideout Act 1, the Scepter has a 2.5% chance to drop, making it an RNG-heavy grind. If RNG doesn’t favor you, you are guaranteed to receive the piece of Equipment upon finishing 20 runs.

Being a Unit-type equipment, you can only equip the Dark Scepter to the Dark Mage (Sovereign) unit. It was designed to enhance two of this unit’s passives, making it an essential part of the Dark Mage’s kit.

Dark Scepter has two rollable stats: Range and SPA. The upper and lower limits for the stat boosts this Equipment offers are as follows:

Upon getting the Scepter, it will be assigned a random value between these defined limits. You can reroll them for better values using Equipment Rerolls, which you can buy from nearly every shop in the game.

As for passive upgrades, the Dark Scepter targets the Lightning Orbs and Ice Barrage passives. The following effects occur as part of the Scepter’s Lightning Orbs passive, which triggers upon switching to Lightning Magic:

The Ice Barrage passive, which triggers upon switching to Ice Magic, has the following effects:

Note that both of these passives override their counterparts in Dark Mage (Sovereign)’s base kit. This means that the effects of these passives don’t overlap or stack with the unit’s version of them.

The Dark Scepter can be obtained from the Crow Hideout Act 1 stage at a 2.5% drop rate.
