The Drone Launcher in Palworld 1.0 is one of the more satisfying late-game weapons to obtain, and the legendary version specifically requires either some patience at a fishing spot or a boss farming loop that can get competitive at higher Pal power levels. Neither method is particularly fast, but both are reliable once the approach is dialled in.

Here is how to get the legendary Drone Launcher in Palworld 1.0 and everything needed to craft it.

The schematic for the legendary Drone Launcher, Drone Launcher Schematic 4, can drop from a fishing spot near the World Tree at approximately coordinates -1730, 1341. The specific catch to look for is a glowing green fish in that area. The drop rate is low, so multiple catches before it appears is normal. Settle in, use the best fishing rod available, and keep at it.

Once the schematic is obtained, Level 77 and 4 Technology Points are needed to unlock the recipe. For help with fishing mechanics and rod options, you can check out our dedicated fishing guide, which covers those details.

The second route is through boss farming. Drone Launcher Schematic 4 has a 10% drop rate from hard mode Lily and Lyleen, making it a viable alternative for players who would rather fight their way to it than fish.

The fastest access point is the Empress of Lilies Alpha boss on Sakurajima, spawning at approximately (-632, 302) near the Secluded Cemetery, at around levels 58 to 59.

For this fight, a Fire and Ground-oriented party performs best given Lyleen's weaknesses. A strong setup involves a Jormuntide Ignis B stacking burn damage at 17-second duration, paired with a Moldron running immortality, eternal flame, serenity, and god of destruction passives for sustained damage without the health drain becoming a problem. Boosting attack by 150% and defence through party synergies keeps the fight manageable across multiple rounds.

At a 10% drop rate, expect anywhere from a handful of attempts to considerably more before the schematic appears. Six attempts have taken roughly 10 minutes as a benchmark, which gives a reasonable expectation for how long the farm will run. The schematic, along with training crystals, drops once the fight is completed successfully.

Of the two methods, fishing is lower intensity but less engaging. The boss farm is quicker per attempt if the party is strong enough to move through the fight efficiently, and the fight itself is genuinely interesting once positioning for the magma spit attacks is figured out.

Once the schematic is unlocked, the Drone Launcher is crafted at the Ancient Workbench using:

The materials are demanding, particularly the Paloxite Ingots and World Tree Holy Water, so having those farming loops running before attempting the craft is the sensible approach. We've also added internal links for all the required materials.
