Its closest competitors are the L85A3 and the TR-7, with the TR-7 being another bullpup rifle that was available when the game launched. You can get the EF88 assault rifle from the Battle Pass after reaching Tier 11 of the Benthic Tomb path. After selecting the path, simply progress through the Battle Pass by earning XP. You can play any game mode in this title to earn the Battle Pass XP and contribute to the progression. While it may take some time, you can speed up the process by activating XP Boosters.

You can activate them from the Multiplayer tab by heading to Quickplay and selecting Ranked, REDSEC, or Portal. Alternatively, you can activate an XP Booster from the pause menu while you're in a match. Another great way to level up the BP and unlock the EF88 assault rifle is by completing Weekly Challenges.
You can find various challenges in the Challenges tab of the main menu. Completing them will grant Battle Pass XP and help you progress faster. If you get some tasks that are quite challenging and time-consuming, then you can simply reroll them to get new ones.
For the quickest progression, it's recommended to keep an XP Booster active while completing Weekly Challenges. The developers have also officially confirmed that the Battle Pass progression is now 2.5x faster than it was in Season 1. This makes it much easier for players to unlock any items in no time.

Even after that, if you don't want to wait and get the EF88 in your hands right away, you can simply purchase Battle Pass tiers and reach Tier 16 immediately for 2,400 Battlefield Coins. However, it's not really worth it, considering the Battle Pass itself costs only 1,100 Battlefield Coins.
