Discarded India batter Hanuma Vihari was baffled by star wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav being left out of the playing XI throughout the recently concluded ODI series against England. The Men in Blue suffered another series defeat, going down 1-2.

Vihari reflected that playing four fast bowlers at Lord's in the final ODI and leaving Kuldeep out was a blunder. He also questioned whether the wrist-spinner was part of the 2027 World Cup plans after being constantly left out.

Shubman Gill and Co. lost the final ODI by 27 runs. It was a nightmare for the bowlers as England put up a massive total of 387/3 after batting first. The visitors played five bowlers, including four pacers. Vihari reflected that bowling was a big concern, given the performance in this series.

Having already lost the T20I series 0-4, India ended the England tour with just one win from eight matches across both formats.

In the same video, Hanuma Vihari also questioned India's team combination and called them out for not picking Mohammed Siraj for the ODI series. Siraj was initially part of the T20I squad but was replaced by Prasidh Krishna as part of workload management. However, he was also left out of the ODI squad.

While Vihari understood Siraj being withdrawn from the T20I series, he strongly felt that the pacer should have been part of the ODIs, given the inexperienced bowling attack.

Siraj last played an ODI against New Zealand during the home series earlier this year in January. He was left out of the three-match ODI series against Afghanistan as well before the England tour.
