A major announcement was made regarding Willow Nightingale's immediate future after the events of AEW Redemption 2026.

The Conglomeration member was in action against Thekla for the AEW Women's World Championship at the Redemption 2026 pay-per-view. She had earned the opportunity by winning a Casino Gauntlet bout right upon her return from a shoulder injury a few weeks ago. With the stakes higher than ever, both Nightingale and Thekla engaged in a back-and-forth encounter that had enthralled the audience in the Bell Center in Montreal, Canada.

As the closing bell approached, Thekla's cohort, Skye Blue, tried to interfere, but was dispatched by Nightingale. The Toxic Spider attempted to take advantage, but Nightingale utilized a roll-up to pick up the victory and become the new AEW Women's World Champion. Following the event, the company took to their official X account to announce that Nightingale will have a title win celebration on the upcoming July 29 episode of Dynamite.

In a recent conversation on the Marking Out podcast, Willow Nightingale showered praise on WWE legends, The New Day, who are rumored to be AEW-bound. She said that they broke down a stereotype and did black joy correctly.

On the other hand, Nightingale will defend her newly won Women's World title against her longtime rival, Mercedes Mone, at All In 2026. With a storied history and major tensions between them, it remains to be seen who will emerge victorious in the bout.
