England captain Harry Kane has confirmed that he played golf with United States President Donald Trump. He recalled meeting him 18 months ago in Palm Beach, and praised him for how well he played.

Speaking to the media, Kane said that it was a 'surreal experience' to play golf with Trump. He wishes to be as good at golf as the 80-year-old when he reaches that age.

The comments came after Donald Trump revealed their golf outing to the media earlier this month. He said that the England captain impressed him in the FIFA World Cup clash against Mexico, and added that he was a great golfer too.

Harry Kane and Donald Trump could meet once again if England make it to the FIFA World Cup final. The United States president is set to be handing the trophy to the winner next weekend.

England coach Thomas Tuchel joked about Harry Kane contacting Donald Trump to overturn Jarell Quansah's red card. He claimed that it was a harsh decision and said:

Jarell Quansah did not see his red card suspended; instead, FIFA added another match to his ban, citing Article 14. He was deemed to have put the opponents' safety in danger with the sliding tackle.
