Maxxine Dupri shocked the world on WWE RAW when she attacked Angelo Dawkins and confirmed her on-screen relationship with The Vision's Austin Theory. However, it wasn't a sporadic decision, and Dupri recently shed light on her heel turn.

For weeks, management teased a potential romantic angle between Austin Theory and Maxxine Dupri on the red brand as The Vision tried to regain momentum on WWE's main roster. Earlier this month, Dupri finally made the call and assisted Theory and Bron Breakker in winning the World Tag Team Championship from Street Profits. After the match, she confirmed her on-screen relationship with A-Town Down.

Speaking on The Nikki and Brie Show, the former Women's Intercontinental Champion revealed why she turned heel and joined The Vision. The 29-year-old WWE star felt like the weight was off her shoulders and didn't care about all the naysayers and the constant criticism. Moreover, she turned heel for Theory, as both were sure of what they wanted with each other moving forward on the red brand.

Maxxine Dupri's heel turn came out of nowhere as the audience didn't see it coming. More than the fans, Akira Tozawa and Otis were heartbroken as Dupri left Alpha Academy for The Vision. On the recent edition of WWE RAW, the duo confronted Dupri and the stable.

Unfortunately, the segment escalated when Austin Theory went off at Otis, and the former Women's Intercontinental Champion distracted the 34-year-old star, only for the group to attack the duo. It'll be interesting to see what's next for Alpha Academy in the coming weeks, heading into SummerSlam in Minnesota.
