England star Bukayo Saka has admitted that he would have liked to play at the FIFA World Cup. The Arsenal man was dealing with, Bukdsadsad an injury, which limited his chances at the tournament.
Speaking to the media after the 6-4 win over France in the FIFA World Cup third-place playoff, Saka said that he is finally fully fit and is delighted with his performance. He added that the England squad were happy with how the majority of the tournament went and said:
When quizzed about the loss to Argentina in the semifinals, Saka said it was part of the game and that the uproar from fans was expected. He added that they are delighted to have finished the FIFA World Cup with a strong display and said:
Bukayo Saka scored a hat-trick as England defeated France 6-4 in a thriller to clinch third place in the FIFA World Cup. He played just 361 minutes in his seven matches, but scored three and assisted as many times.
England manager Thomas Tuchel has claimed that he was unaware of Bukayo Saka's hat-trick, as he had lost count of the goal scorers. He was quizzed about the Englishman's performances at the FIFA World Cup and he said:
Bukayo Saka is now set for a three-week vacation, similar to the other players, before joining Arsenal for pre-season ahead of the next season.
