Former Argentina striker Maxi Lopez has warned Cristiano Ronaldo superfan iShowSpeed to stay away from La Albiceleste's 2026 FIFA World Cup semi-final against England on Wednesday (July 15) in Atlanta.

The YouTuber had turned up for Lionel Scaloni's side's quarter-final against Switzerland to 'jinx' them after Ronaldo's Portugal had exited the competition following a 1-0 Round of 16 loss to Spain a week ago.

The Albiceleste had opened the scoring through Alexis Mac Allister inside 10 minutes before Dan Ndoye equalised midway through the second period. Despite Breel Embolo's red card five minutes later, Murat Yakin's side held on for extra time, where Julian Alvarez and Lautaro Martinez strikes proved decisive.

It marked the second time in three knockout games that Lionel Messi and Co. needed extra time, having also gone the distance in a 3-2 Round of 32 victory over competition debutants Cabo Verde.

The Albiceleste narrowly avoided extra time in a 3-2 win over Egypt in the Round of 16, scoring thrice in the final 11 minutes, with Enzo Fernandez netting a 93rd-minute winner.
