A campus recruitment drive in the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Dharwad has succeeded in getting placement offers for 91.08% of students.

“The year 2025-26 has been successful for the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Dharwad, which is a third generation IIT, as it has clocked an impressive 91.08% placement rate for its B.Tech 2026 graduating batch,” IIT Dharwad Director Venkappayya Desai has said in a release.

“Under the B.Tech programme, the highest package is ₹82 lakh per annum, while average salary is ₹21.15 lakh. In the M.Tech programme, the highest package is ₹30 lakh and average package is ₹12.9 lakh. The placement season witnessed enthusiastic participation from more than 120 leading national and multinational organisations spanning sectors such as information technology, core engineering, manufacturing, semiconductor, consulting, analytics, finance and emerging technologies,” Prof. Desai said.

“Students secured challenging and rewarding roles that reflect the institute’s strong academic foundation, industry-oriented curriculum and emphasis on innovation. Our robust academic ecosystem, interdisciplinary learning, research opportunities and continuous industry engagement have enabled students to excel in highly competitive recruitment processes. IIT Dharwad continues to strengthen its collaborations with flexible internships modules, research partnerships, innovation projects and skill development initiatives ensuring that its graduates remain well-prepared to address the evolving needs of the global workforce,” he said.
