WWE superstar Roman Reigns has picked Argentina to beat Spain in the 2026 FIFA World Cup final tonight (July 19) in New Jersey. The Albiceleste are looking to go back-to-back, while La Roja are seeking their second title.

The two teams have had contrasting routes to the title match. While Lionel Messi and Co. scored twice late on to beat England 2-1 in the last four, Luis de la Fuente's La Roja beat two-time winners France 2-0 to return to the summit clash for the first time since their triumphant campaign in South Africa in 2010.

The European side have conceded just once in six games, while the Albiceleste haven't kept a clean sheet in five games since a 2-0 group-stage win over Austria. Lionel Scaloni's side, though, are the top scorers in the competition, with 19 goals, with Messi accounting for eight of them and setting up four, while Spain have netted 13 times, with Mikel Oyarzabal accounting for five of them.

The Albiceleste have won three (1978. 1986, 2022) of their last FIFA World Cup finals, while La Roja won their only title match in 2010.

Argentina captain Lionel Messi is grateful for the journey the Albiceleste have had at the FIFA World Cup since the last edition regardless of what the outcome against Spain may be in tonight's final.

Playing his sixth and likely last World Cup, Messi, 39, has had a fabulous campaign, striking eight times and assisting four in seven games. He needs to score a hat-trick against Spain to win his first Golden Boot.

Lionel Messi and Co. are looking to become the first defending FIFA World Cup champions to go back-to-back since Brazil did so at the 1962 edition.
