Pratika Rawal has been ruled out of the one-off Test between India and England at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground this week.

Pratika last featured for India in the recently concluded A series against England A, where India A won the series 2-1. She didn’t participate in the third one-day match of this series.

“Pratika Rawal has been ruled out of the Test match due to an injury she picked up during the A series. She got a cut on her knee which required some stitches. She’s out for the Test and Priya Punia has been added to the squad,” head coach Amol Muzumdar said in a press conference at Lord’s on Wednesday.

Priya Punia, who was part of the A squad, is set to take her place in the pool for the four-day Test.

Pratika made her Test debut in the one-off Test against Australia at Perth managing scores of 18 (43 balls) and 63 (137) but Australia was too strong at home, clinching the fixture by 10 wickets.
