Dindigul Police have busted an inter-State narcotics racket at a private resort in Kodaikanal. One person was arrested and multiple synthetic drugs were seized.

As part of its sustained drive against illicit narcotics and acting on a specific intelligence on Sunday, (19 July), a special police team conducted a surprise raid at a private accommodation facility located at Poombarai under Kodaikanal Police Station limits.

The operation was carried out under the supervision of S. Jayakumar, Superintendent of Police, Dindigul district.

During the search, 9.5 grams of LSD stamps, 47 grams of MDMA, 10 grams of cocaine, 86 grams of charas, 90 grams of ganja and 100 ecstasy tablets were seized. One person who was operating the resort was arrested.

A case has been registered, and further investigation is on to identify the source of the seized narcotics. Special teams have been constituted for further investigation.
