Kylian Mbappe is expected to lead the line for France against Morocco in the first quarter-final clash of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The Real Madrid superstar has been in sensational form during the tournament and will be the biggest threat to the reigning African champions.

Despite being only 27 years of age, this is Kylian Mbappe's third FIFA World Cup campaign. And, he has almost always impressed for Les Bleus across all three editions.

The France skipper has already scored seven goals and provided two assists in five games in the 2026 World Cup. He is just one goal behind Argentina's Lionel Messi for the Golden Boot, having also won the accolade in 2022.

Mbappe has scored 19 goals in World Cup history, which is only two behind Lionel Messi, who has 21 to his name. He holds the record for scoring the most goals in the knockout stages with 11 goals.

France are widely regarded as the favourites to win the 2026 FIFA World Cup and Kylian Mbappe is arguably their most influential player. However, they also have a star-studded squad around the Real Madrid maestro, such as Ousmane Dembele, Michael Olise and others.

Ex-Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has named Spain as the only team capable of beating France in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Kylian Mbappe's side are regarded by many as the frontrunners to win the most coveted trophy in world football this time out.

However, Arsene Wenger has claimed that Spain can potentially be the biggest threat to his country. He has claimed that La Roja could overcome Didier Deschamps' side with their collective football and technical qualities. He said:
