New Delhi: Actor Ranbir Kapoor has cleared the air about being part of much-awaited film, Dhoom 4. While at San Diego Comic-Con to promote Ramayana, he confirmed that he isn’t involved with the talked-about Yash Raj Films project.
In a conversation with Review Nation alongside Ramayana director Nitesh Tiwari, producer Namit Malhotra, and co-star Yash, the topic came up when the host noted Yash’s role in Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups and brought up reports about Ranbir starring in Dhoom 4.
“No, right now I am working on Ramayana and another film called Love & War, which is directed by Mr Sanjay Bhansali. That should be out on January 24 next year,” he said. What stood out was that while discussing his future schedule, Ranbir didn’t bring up Animal Park, which is the planned sequel to his 2023 hit Animal.
Reports connecting Ranbir Kapoor with Dhoom 4 have popped up again and again over the last few years. Still, Yash Raj Films hasn’t formally shared any plans about a fourth movie in the series, nor have they announced who will be in it.
In 2024, a Pinkvilla report quoted a source saying that Aditya Chopra was of the opinion that Ranbir would be ideal for the film, further claiming that the actor had shown interest after long discussions. In 2025, Peeping Moon claimed that Vicky Kaushal might be roped in for a role.
The Dhoom series started back in 2004, starring Abhishek Bachchan playing ACP Jai Dixit, Uday Chopra playing Ali, and John Abraham starring as the stylish thief Kabir Sharma.
Next came Dhoom 2 in 2006, which brought Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai on board alongside Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra.
The latest movie in the series, Dhoom 3, hit theaters in 2013 starring Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaif. Fans have been eagerly waiting for the next part ever since, though Yash Raj Films still hasn’t officially shared any news about Dhoom 4.
Ranbir Kapoor is a leading and top earning actor in Hindi cinema, coming from the famous Kapoor film family. Famous for showing great skill in deep dramas and romantic comedies, he is currently playing the main lead in the eagerly awaited epic movie Ramayana and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War.

He soon made a strong mark with praised performances in Wake Up Sid (2009), Rockstar (2011), Barfi! (2012), and Sanju (2018). Most recently, he starred in the huge hit Animal (2023).
