Spain and Belgium were locked at 1-1 after half-time during their quarterfinal match at the FIFA World Cup 2026 in Los Angeles on Friday.
The European champion opened the scoring with Fabian Ruiz finding a deflection off Thibaut Courtois and slotting the ball into the net. Belgium restored parity just 11 minutes later courtesy of a Charles De Ketelaere header.
If the Spain vs Belgium match remains level at the end of 90 minutes plus stoppage time, the game will head into 30 minutes of extra-time, which will be divided into two halves.
If the winner is not determined even after that, a penalty shootout will decide which team goes into the semifinals.
