Bengaluru FC have completed the signing of defender Sandro Embalo from Indonesian club PSBS Biak ahead of the 2026-27 Indian Super League season.

    Embalo, a Portuguese player of Bissau-Guinean descent, joins Bengaluru FC following two years in the BRI Super League in Indonesia, with year-long stints at Persita Tangerang and PSBS Biak.

    Having come through the youth ranks at top European clubs like Atletico Madrid, Sporting CP, SC Braga and Genoa, Sandro brings quality and experience, having played in leagues across Asia and Europe.

    “We’re excited to welcome Sandro to Bengaluru. His experience of playing in different leagues from around the world will be crucial to help us achieve our goals for the coming season,” said Pep Munoz, who begins his first full season as head coach of Bengaluru FC.

    “It’s a new experience playing in India, one that I am really looking forward to. I’ve heard a lot about the club, the city and the fans, and I cannot wait to get started,” said Embalo when asked about his move to Bengaluru FC.
