Martin Keown has urged Arsenal to sign three players in the summer before the 2026/27 season begins. He believes that they need a left winger, striker and midfielder to bolster the squad.
Speaking on talkSPORT, Keown said that Arsenal need a midfielder who can control the tempo of the game. He hinted that they cannot rely on Martin Zubimendi and Declan Rice for the whole season, and need to spend once again.
The former player also wants them to bolster the attack with a left winger and a striker this summer. He said:
Arsenal were interested in signing Morgan Rogers, but have lost the battle to Chelsea. The Englishman has opted to join the Blues despite holding talks with Mikel Arteta throughout the summer.
Martin Keown has told Arsenal that Marcus Rashford is not the player they should look to sign this summer. He claimed that the Englishman is not ideal for his former side because of off-pitch issues, which could derail his career. He said:
Marcus Rashford had a £40 million release clause, but it has expired. Any club interested in signing him will now have to negotiate with Manchester United for a fee, and the Red Devils are looking for a sale.
