This week, one of the members of Saint Satine - a new girl K-pop group formed with three singers represented by HYBE x Geffen in May 2026 - has announced her exit from the group.
Lexie Levin took to her Instagram story on Tuesday (July 14), starting off by thanking HYBE x Geffen for making Project SAINT SATINE happen. She added that while it felt like the right direction for her at the time, she now believes separating from the band to be the best course of action. Her statement further read:
Towards the end, Levin pleaded with her fans to keep supporting her fellow band members, Samara, Sakura, and Emily, in their new ventures.
Some fans expressed confusion over Levin's actions, while others suspected some kind of foul play by HYBE.
Meanwhile, others pointed out that Lexie Levin's exit was a massive hit to the new girl band that was set to make its debut later this year.
For those who are unfamiliar with Lexie Levin, she is a 21-year-old Swedish singer who had achieved the status of HYBE x Geffen's second girl group, following the massive success the collaboration's first creation, KATSEYE, turned out to be.
Levin was the oldest of all band members, with Emily and Samara both 20 years old, and Sakura, who is just 16, considerably younger.
During her time on the show, Lexie had already withdrawn from the show amid an ongoing competition. At the time, the show had explained her exit, citing an alleged realization that Levin's interests lay more "behind the scenes" in music production.
In a Netflix documentary featuring KATSEYE, it was revealed that the Swedish singer departed from the show on her own terms.
SAINT SATINE was originally formed with three members in August 2025: Emily, Lexie, and Samara - all of whom were contestants on the show Dream Academy. Then, in May 2026, the group announced a fourth member from Japan, named Sakura. She joined the band after winning the 2023 Japanese survival program.
