From high-stakes clashes at Fontana and Martinsville to heated pit-road confrontations, Joey Logano and Denny Hamlin have spent years serving as each other's primary rivals in the NASCAR Cup Series. However, Logano believes the dynamic between the driver of the No. 22 Team Penske Ford and No. 11 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota has undergone a remarkable transformation into genuine mutual respect.

Speaking on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, Logano acknowledged their rocky past and previous run-ins, but emphasized that time and maturity have put those conflicts behind them.

When asked how two fierce competitors transitioned from genuine dislike to an unspoken truce, Joey Logano pointed to the natural maturation process. He added:

Beyond their on-track maturity, Logano revealed that off-track conversations regarding the broader direction of stock-car racing helped bridge the gap. As two prominent voices within the garage, the three-time champion and 23XI Racing co-owner, Hamlin, realized they were fighting for the same outcome, which is the growth of the sport.

After Joey Logano's win at North Wilkesboro Speedway, Denny Hamlin tipped his hat to the Penske star for his strong run at the historic track. In a post-race conversation, the JGR driver said:

Despite pushing his car to the limit, Denny Hamlin couldn't quite close the gap on Joey Logano at North Wilkesboro Speedway. Meanwhile, he was able to keep the leader on his toes as his own setup was just a fraction off from victory lane.
