Chelsea legend John Terry has taken a cheeky dig at Arsenal after his former side signed Morgan Rogers. He claimed that the Englishman chose Stamford Bridge because he wants to win the UEFA Champions League.
Speaking on Piers Morgan's Sports Uncensored, Terry stated that Chelsea have a better chance of winning the UEFA Champions League than Arsenal. He admitted that the fee is inflated, but does not think that will affect the Englishman and said:
Terry added that Rogers is a good addition for the Blues as they needed someone in the starting XI. He stated that the signing from Aston Villa is better than Jamie Gittens and Alejandro Garnacho and said:
Chelsea paid a stunning £117 million to sign Rogers from Aston Villa this week, despite interest from Arsenal.
Arsenal were in talks with Aston Villa and Morgan Rogers this summer, but failed to agree a deal. The Englishman spoke about his decision to make the switch to Stamford Bridge and said:
Chelsea have now agreed a deal to loan Alejandro Garnacho to Aston Villa.
