Litigants with cases pending before the Supreme Court of India have been given additional time to apply for an amicable settlement under the Samadhan Samaroh (Special Lok Adalat), with the deadline for submitting online applications extended to July 31, 2026.

Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Kangra, R Mihul Sharma, said eligible litigants can submit their applications through the prescribed Google form available on the official website of the Supreme Court of India.

He said the initiative provides an important opportunity for litigants to resolve pending disputes through mutual settlement and mediation, helping them avoid prolonged legal proceedings.

The Samadhan Samaroh was launched on April 21, 2026, at the premises of the Supreme Court of India to facilitate the settlement of suitable pending cases through alternative dispute resolution mechanisms.

Sharma said the dedicated Google form available on the Supreme Court's official website enables litigants to apply for the inclusion of their eligible cases in the Special Lok Adalat. Interested parties must complete and submit the online application on or before July 31, 2026.

He urged litigants seeking an amicable settlement to take advantage of the extended deadline and avail themselves of the opportunity offered under the initiative.

For assistance with the application process or information regarding the Special Lok Adalat, litigants may contact the Supreme Court of India's One Stop Centre (War Room) at 011-23112428, 011-23112528, 011-23116464 or 011-23116465.
