New Delhi: The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) led a massive protest at Jantar Mantar and forced the government to accept all their demands. The party founded by Abhijeet Dipke stayed put at the protest site till the government was forced to accept their demand of the Union Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan resigning over the NEET paper leak issue.
On Sunday morning, the CJP put out a video of Dipke, thanking supporters for helping the newly founded outfit carry on the anti-government protests in Delhi.
Dipke began his video by saying that after very long he was waking up in a bedroom, without thinking about what to do next or what would happen by the evening. He sounded relaxed and said that he felt really good and that he finally had a good sleep.
He said, “There is no panic.” He termed the 37 days of protest as “very very difficult.”
Apart from thanking supporters Dipke also thanked those who were against him and his party. He thanked critics and said that their words helped them improve. He also said that “this was just the beginning and the Cockroach Janat Party (CJP) had a long way to go.
Dipke, who is down with typhoid, apologised for not being able to meet every protestor, personally to thank them. He concluded by saying that this was just the beginning (for CJP) and that they had a long way to go.
He then went on to thank all those who stayed put at Jantar Mantar, the famous protest site, for 37 days. He said, “I want to tell you that I really, really, really appreciate what you did for this country.”
Dipke founded the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) in May after a remark by the Chief Justice of India, Surya Kanta, who termed the unemployed youth of the country as cockroaches. The remark triggered an online movement, where Dipke created a social media account and within thousands joined in. Soon Dipke decided to return to India, from the US and carry out a mass street movement against the NEET-UG paper leak and demanded reforms in the education system.
