Plans are afoot to expand the CCTV surveillance network by installing 700 more CCTV cameras across the Karimnagar Police Commissionerate limits, Karimnagar Police Commissioner Gaush Alam said.
He was speaking after inaugurating 21 new CCTV cameras including 16 in Saidabad village and 5 in Korapalli village of Huzurabad division on Thursday.
The Police Commissioner highlighted the importance of CCTV cameras and other modern technological tools in preventing crimes and aiding investigations. Later, he presented mementoes to the winners of a volleyball tournament held at the Government Degree College grounds in Jammikunta town. Huzurabad ACP V. Madhavi, Jammikunta Circle Inspector Ramakrishna and others were present.
