SR University Chancellor A. Varada Reddy urged students to keep pace with emerging technologies and continuously upgrade their skills to meet evolving professional demands. He was addressing an orientation programme for its new batch of first-year engineering students and their parents at the campus here on Monday.

Vice-Chancellor Deepak Garg encouraged students to embrace collaboration, peer learning and active classroom participation. Dean-Operations and Growth R. Archana Reddy highlighted the university’s support for careers, higher education and entrepreneurship, noting that the 2026 graduating batch secured more than 1,500 internships and 1,530 placement offers, including a highest package of ₹44 lakh per annum from Amazon. She also said the university achieved 100% placements in Agriculture. More than 5,000 students and parents attended the programme.

The university said the incoming batch comprises students from all districts of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, over 20 States across India and several countries abroad. Pro Vice-Chancellor V. Mahesh and Registrar P.V. Ramana were present.
