    Kia India has unveiled the Kia Syros EV, its second mass-market electric vehicle for the Indian market, and opened pre-bookings for Rs 25,000 through its website and authorised dealerships.

    The electric SUV is available with two battery pack options and offers an ARAI-certified range of up to 526 km. Kia has also announced a lifetime high-voltage battery warranty, an assured buyback programme and Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) financing options.

    The Kia Syros EV is offered with two battery options:

    • 51.4 kWh battery with an ARAI-certified range of 526 km (MIDC Full)
    • 42 kWh battery with an ARAI-certified range of 443 km (MIDC Full)
    The larger battery produces 171 PS and enables the SUV to accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 8.1 seconds. The vehicle uses a Nickel Manganese Cobalt (NMC) battery with an IP67 rating and a liquid-cooled thermal management system.

    According to Kia, the Syros EV supports 100 kW DC fast charging, allowing the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in 39 minutes. It also comes with a 10.8 kW onboard AC charger and features battery conditioning for improved charging performance.

    The company has also introduced:
    • Lifetime high-voltage battery warranty (up to 15 years, subject to terms and conditions)
    • Assured buyback programme
    • Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) financing option

    The Kia Syros EV includes a 30-inch Trinity Panoramic Display that combines a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 5-inch climate control display.

    Other features include:

    • Kia Connect 2.0 with over 95 connected features
    • Over-the-air (OTA) software updates
    • Harman Kardon eight-speaker audio system
    • Wireless phone charger
    • Digital Key

    • Regenerative braking with paddle shifters and i-Pedal mode

    The cabin also gets ventilated front and rear seats, a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, a smart dashcam, multiple USB Type-C charging ports, including a 100W front port, and a 16-litre front storage compartment.

    The Kia Syros EV comes with Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) featuring 16 autonomous functions.

    Kia said its K-Charge ecosystem integrates more than 20,300 charging points across 23 charge point operators through the MyKia app. The network is also supported by 129+ Kia dealerships with DC fast chargers and 275+ EV-ready workshops across India.

    Customers can choose from nine exterior colour options, including Glacier White Pearl, Frost Blue, Gravity Grey, Pewter Olive, Magma Red, Ivory Silver Matte, Ivory Silver Gloss, Aurora Black Pearl and the exclusive X-Line Matte Graphite with Aurora Black Pearl finish. The SUV will also be available with multiple interior colour themes.
