New Delhi: Kolkata Metro has announced revised operating hours for its Blue Line and Green Line, with the new schedule set to take effect from Monday. The changes are intended to better serve the increasing number of commuters travelling during early morning and late-night hours.
Metro authorities said the revised timetable reflects changing work patterns and the growing demand from daily commuters who rely on the network beyond conventional office hours.
Under the new schedule, the first Metro services from both terminal stations on the Blue Line will now depart at 6:00 a.m., instead of the current 6:50 a.m. Likewise, the last Metro services, which currently leave the terminal stations at 9:44 p.m., have been extended to 10:30 p.m.

Shahid Khudiram to Dakshineswar: 6:00 a.m.
Mahanayak Uttam Kumar to Dakshineswar: 6:15 a.m.
Mahanayak Uttam Kumar to Dum Dum: 6:15 a.m.
Dum Dum to Mahanayak Uttam Kumar: 6:15 a.m.
Dum Dum to Shahid Khudiram: 6:15 a.m.

Dakshineswar to Shahid Khudiram: 10:03 p.m.
Dakshineswar to Mahanayak Uttam Kumar: 10:18 p.m.
Dum Dum to Shahid Khudiram: 10:15 p.m.
Dum Dum to Mahanayak Uttam Kumar: 10:30 p.m.
Shahid Khudiram to Dakshineswar: 10:15 p.m.
Shahid Khudiram to Dum Dum: 10:30 p.m.
Mahanayak Uttam Kumar to Dakshineswar: 10:28 p.m.

Metro officials said the revised timings are expected to improve convenience for passengers, particularly those working extended shifts or travelling during off-peak hours. The changes are part of Kolkata Metro’s ongoing efforts to enhance commuter services and accommodate evolving travel patterns across the city.
