NFL analyst Ryan Clark was the biggest name in another round of layoffs at ESPN on Tuesday. A fan on social media said that Jemele Hill and Chiney Ogwumike might be the next to be let go, missing the fact that Hill had already left the company in 2018.

On social media, Hill, a former ESPN employee, quote-tweeted the fan's comment and sarcastically replied.

According to The Athletic's Andrew Marchand, sources indicated more "expected" layoffs Tuesday as part of "broader cuts" by parent company Disney:

"There are expected to be a small number of layoffs of on-air personalities based at ESPN headquarters in Bristol, Conn., as well as a larger number of employees, both on- and off-the-air, from NFL Network."

Clark had been with ESPN for more than a decade before his abrupt firing Tuesday. The former NFL defensive back became one of the sports media giant's most prominent football analysts. He has regular appearances on popular shows, including NFL Live, SportsCenter, Get Up and First Take.

According to The Athletic's Andrew Marchand on Tuesday, there have been rumblings since February that Ryan Clark's job could be in jeopardy.

Marchand said Clark's firing was "influenced" by an incident with fellow analyst Peter Schrager. The perceived "poor verbal conduct" stemmed from Clark's "non-player" comment to Schrager in a heated on-air exchange.

As of this writing, multiple reports from several credible sites have said Tuesday's layoffs included Cam Newton, Karl Ravech, David Lloyd, Charles Davis, Tom Pelissero and Bart Scott.
