Jannik Sinner, who is the defending champion, became the 23rd different man to lift the winner’s trophy on the Centre Court since 1968 after defeating Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz last season. On Sunday, he completed an incredible title defence, beating Alexander Zverev in a closely fought summit clash 6-7(7), 7-6(2), 6-3, 6-4.
Zverev, who ended his long wait for a Grand Slam title at the 2026 French Open, is taking part in his first Wimbledon final and will be looking to become the first German player since Michael Stich in 1991 to win at the All England Championships.
Swiss maestro Roger Federer holds the record for most Wimbledon titles (8) won by a man in the Open Era.
